  • (Required) Links: Email, phone number, and LinkedIn.
  • (Optional) Links: Website, portfolio, GitHub, blog.
  • Job Titles: Opt for standardized titles reflecting responsibilities, not company roles
    • Technical Staff Intern --> Software Engineer Intern
  • Avoid Abbreviations: Refrain from using confusing abbreviations.
  • Avoid Humor: Omit jokes and keep a professional tone.
  • Readability: Ensure your resume can be read in under 7 seconds.
  • One Page: Keep your resume to one page (unless you have exceptional achievements).
  • PDF Format: Save your resume as a PDF file.
  • Naming Convention: Opt for a naming structure like FirstName_LastName_Resume. Apply the same format for other documents, such as FirstName_LastName_Transcript.
